I took a Gentle Yoga class the day before Thanksgiving, and found myself in a room full of seniors and a couple twenty something women. The practice was mellow, but the class time was good and it helped me relax before the holiday madness. More importantly, it helped me breathe and enjoy Thanksgiving in the mountains with L, D, D, C, J, S, M and the three dogs.

I think my routine indulgence in food and drink was on par with previous years. Maybe a little lighter on the drinking, as I inch closer and closer to 40. Hiking around Bass Lake and the Moses Cone House trail provided some nice fresh air.

L and I made the drive back to Chicago, surviving some bad weather and traffic through Indiana.

I breathed.
